The California Assisted Living Association announced that Vicki Markley of Canyon Hills Club by Encore Senior Living will receive the organization’s prestigious Outstanding Executive Director award during their Fall Conference in Costa Mesa. CALA chooses recipients of these awards based on commitment to providing outstanding quality care and service to residents in the Assisted Living communities where they work.
Markley received her award on October 26, 2009. She was nominated based on her continual inspiration to her staff and her outstanding care of residents.
Markley is known for her commitment to improving the lives of her residents. Recently, she hired a personal trainer for the residents to improve their wellness and fitness. She has spearheaded an effort to partner with community groups like the Boy Scouts and Rotary Club to help the community at large during touch economic times. Markley is known for setting high standards that her staff regularly exceeds.
