Encore Senior Village at Tucson is holding its annual Chili Cook-Off in November to raise awareness for National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, designated by President Ronald Reagan. The cook-off, held on Friday, November 14th.

Encore Senior Village at Tucson’s Chili Cook-Off event will feature teams of residents and caregiving staff. The event is to encourage residents with memory impairments to use the skills that they have to recreate familiar activities from their past and to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care. Recipes generated from residents and staff will be judged and available for sampling. All residents will be recognized, with the winning cottage receiving a fun trophy to display all year long.
